LEE COUNTY, Fla.– A mother duck nearly ran amok as her babies were stuck in a sewer. The Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District came to save the day. The ducklings were stuck in a sewer next to an Extra Space Storage facility in Bonita Springs. Video from the fire department shows the net that firefighters used to scoop up the ducklings. A firefighter gently picked up a duckling from the net and set it on the grass across the street. From the video, it appears that the birds were Muscovy ducks, known for the bright red carbuncles above their eyes and above the beak.
